Senior Stores Person

W​e have an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join the HMK team. We are looking for a candidate who prides themselves on their organisation skills and possess a strong sense of personal responsibility.

Working in our stores operation you will be the final link in delivering the HMK promise. The successful candidate will be highly organised, obsessive when it comes to detail, and familiar with using a computerised stock management system. Working week

Monday - Thurs 8am - 5pm with 45min lunch

Friday 8am – 1pm

Typical duties:

  • M​anaging inbound and outbound stock.
  • Efficiantly manage inventory and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Recieve, inspect, and store incoming goods, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Prepare and dispatch orders promptly and accurately, packaged to a high standard ensuring goods arrive at destination in excellent order.
  • Conduct weekly stock checks.
  • Use computer systems for stock management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the stores area.

 

Desired skills and personal qualities

  • P​roven experience as a Stores Person or similar role.
  • S​trong organisational skills.
  • A​ble to operate a stock management system on computer.
  • A​bility to work independently and as part of a team.
  • P​assionate about maintaining high standards of accuracy and paying attention to detail.
  • H​olding a licenced to operate a forklift truck is a benefit but not essential.
  • E​xperience working for an industrial or electrical distributor is also beneficial.
