HMK will be exhibiting at Siemens Transform, showcasing how machine builders and manufacturers can benefit from a more open approach to industrial robotics.
Taking place at Manchester Central on 15-16 July, Siemens Transform brings together industry leaders to explore how digitalisation, industrial AI and smart technologies are helping organisations become more resilient, efficient and competitive.
As the UK's only Siemens Gold Motion Partner, HMK will be demonstrating how open robot control, built on Siemens SIMATIC and SINAMICS technology and programmed in TIA Portal using the Robot Control Suite, gives machine builders and end users greater control over their automation platforms.
Working alongside Wymbs Engineering, we will be showcasing an exciting new robotics solution that demonstrates the power of open robot control built on Siemens technology. Developed using HMK-supplied products and expertise, and integrated with a Comau robotic platform, the innovative solution represents the UK's first deployment of this open robotics approach and will make its debut at Transform, giving visitors the first opportunity to see it in action.
Built on Siemens standards, it reduces complexity, improves scalability and supportability, strengthens cybersecurity and provides a vendor-agnostic platform capable of supporting multiple robot types and kinematics from one open, standard platform. It also helps lower total costs while accelerating the adoption of future-ready industrial automation.
Gary Kitchin, Managing Director at HMK, said: “As the UK's only Siemens Gold Motion Partner, we've spent more than 30 years helping machine builders get the very best from Siemens motion technology. Transform is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate what's possible through open robot control and share this exciting new collaboration alongside Wymbs Engineering.
“For too long, many applications have relied on traditional black box robotics that can increase complexity and limit flexibility. We believe there's a better way.
"Open robot control, built on Siemens technology, gives OEMs and end users greater control over their automation platform by reducing complexity and costs, improving scalability and supportability, strengthening cybersecurity, and providing the flexibility to adapt as requirements evolve."
“Working with Wymbs Engineering and Comau, we'll be demonstrating how this approach can be applied in a real-world machine application. Visitors to the stand will be among the first to see the UK's first deployment of this innovative solution unveiled and discover how HMK is helping machine builders simplify industrial automation, reduce complexity and embrace the future of open robotics."
