Neugart has expanded its offering for delta robot applications with the launch of the new NDFC gearbox series combining cost efficiency with dependable performance - and it’s now available to HMK customers across the UK and ROI.
As the leading planetary gearbox manufacturer, our long-standing partner Neugart has developed the NDFC series to provide a cost-effective alternative for applications where maximum precision is not the top priority, but reliability, robustness, and strong price-performance are essential.
The series sits below the NDF range, while still incorporating a number of proven design features, including Neugart’s trusted sealing concept and the dynamic, inertia-reducing clamping system on the drive side.
The NDFC range includes three frame sizes (064, 090, 110) and two-stage ratios, ranging from 16 to 100, covering a broad range of delta robot applications.
Key features include:
- Standard torsional backlash is less than 5 arcminutes, with optional optimisation to under 3 arcminutes (frame 064) or under 1 arcminute (frames 090 and 110), allowing users to choose the level of precision required and achieve cost savings if the standard backlash is sufficient
- Ideal for two- and three-axis delta robots, delivering reliable performance in high-speed applications
- Ensures reliable cycle times and high system availability for packaging, end-of-line palletising, and sorting systems, particularly in the food and beverage industry
- Compact delta robots with small work envelopes benefit from a balanced combination of dynamics, stiffness and efficiency, especially in frame size 064
In addition, the NDFC series offers optional features for demanding environments, making it well-suited for applications in pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries, where hygiene and reliability are critical:
- Food-grade lubrication without compromising performance
- Stainless steel output shaft, nickel-plated output flange, and painted surface for enhanced corrosion protection.
