Name: Debbie Kendall
Job Title: Sales Order Administrator
When did you join HMK? July 2021
What does your role involve? I’m part of the team working under Logistics Manager Jenny and my duties include inputting customer orders, checking off invoices, carrying out credit checks and dealing with purchase orders.
Previous experience and areas of expertise: I’ve worked in various administration roles over the years and I have a lot of experience in credit control and dealing with order processing. I’d most recently worked for a distribution company where I looked after all the orders, but I fancied a new challenge and thought HMK looked like a great company to be part of.
What are you most looking forward to in the role? I want to share my skills with the rest of the team and learn new skills from my colleagues. It’s a really great team here and we all really believe in team work and work so well together.
What’s the best thing about working at HMK? It’s a lovely working environment and everyone is so friendly and supportive. I just clicked with everyone straight away and it’s a great place to work – I’m really enjoying the new challenge.
What’s your proudest achievement? Becoming a Granny. I’ve got two granddaughters aged five and seven months. I’ve not met the youngest yet as they live in Sweden and we’ve not been able to see them with Covid, but they’re hoping to come over at Christmas and I can’t wait.
Fun fact about Debbie: I’m really into gardening and I love getting out in the garden. I like to think I’m quite green-fingered.
