The GV4xx series was discontinued on December 1st, 2023. For new projects we recommend the GT224 device from the new modular GV/GT2xx series.
The signal distributor type GV481 has 1 input, 4 output terminals, and a short-circuit protected encoder supply. A incremental encoder with HTL or RS422/TTL can be connected. The GV481 distributes the signals up to 4 receivers including full electrical isolation between inputs, outputs and the supply voltage. This feature, in general, can be most advantageous with impulse distribution among expanded production lines with adverse conditions of EMC / grounding / potential shift etc.
GV481: Pulse Distributor for Incremental Encoder with complete Electrical Isolation, 4-channel
Two-level level converter, signal splitter and signal switch for simple snap mounting on a DIN rail. GV210 is a universal encoder interface (without potential separation) with 2 incremental encoder inputs for level conversion, distribution and contactless as well as bounce-free switching of encoder or encoder signals in HTL or RS422 format.
